Mechanical Engineering

The department of Mechanical Engineering was established at Najran University in the year 1433 AH. The department awards a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Engineers graduating from the department come away with great knowledge in energy systems and can also work in the fields of refrigeration and air conditioning engineering, automatic control engineering, mechanical design as well as process automation. The Department of Mechanical Engineering has developed its study program in accordance with the requirements of the National Authority for Academic Accreditation (NCAA) and the American Board of Engineering and Technical Accreditation (ABET) in terms of the educational objectives of the program, educational outcomes, academic content, as well as the number of credit hours required for the program, in a way that achieves the National Qualifications Framework. The department also aims to graduate students with experience and competence in the field of mechanical engineering, making them able to meet the labor market nationally and internationally.
